BIAB Gels

What is BIAB?

BIAB stands for "builder in a bottle", and is typically known as a UV/LED curable builder gel that is applied using a bottle and brush, similar to that used for gel polish. BIAB brands vary in viscocity, colour, and preparation and finishing products. Some BIAB is more flexible and can be chemically removed, others are considered a "hard gel" which can only be removed with a nail file or e-file. Gel polish colours can be applied over the surface of the BIAB, just like with traditional gel or acrylic.

BIAB is often used to overlay natural nails or nail tips to provide extra strength and flexibility, making them less prone to chipping or breaking. They can also be used for fixing chips and do repairs. However, for sculpting additional length and competition shapes we recommend a thicker pot gel specifically for sculpting.
